LIMIT EXCEEDED in 2019!

It is with great humility and joy that we can look back as a congregation on 40 years in our current location, celebrating the impact we have been blessed to have in BENONI.

Did you know that the chapel now known as the Benoni House of Prayer (BHOP), was built 2 years prior to the main buildings? That testifies to the place that prayer has always held in our community’s DNA, from the foundation up!

Pastor Rentia Smook, with her husband, Pastor Billy Smook. - pioneers of the Benoni Prayer Chapel, as it was known then. She remembers how God had provided for the building of the entire structure to be built bond-free! Fondly known as Aunty Rentia, she still attends House of the Lord at age 93!

In celebration of this great milestone, we have three LIMIT EXCEEDING goals in 2019:

1. To increase the hours spent offering up prayer in the chapel from 15 hours a week (currently) to 40 hours a week.

2. To see the chapel buidling undergo much needed repairs and maintenance.

3. To exceed the limits of our own congregation by launching a city wide prayer initiative through the Benoni House of Prayer, seeking to impact every facet of our community.
