Celebrating ONE Year!

IN AUGUST 2018 Ps Oliver Oosthuizen shared a vision that God had laid on his heart for the congregation at House of the Lord, of a community united in continual prayer and worship before the Living God, and so the BENONI HOUSE OF PRAYER was established.

During the past year, we have witnessed a restoration of prayer in the heart of our congregation, as young and old sought to move forward with God in fellowship and communion. We have seen friendships grow and hearts unite. We have seen prayers answered and we have expanded our vocabulary as we prayed the scriptures. We have also seen churches across our city begin to have conversations to move toward co-operation in prayer for our city and our nation.

We continue to anticipate the outpouring of God’s Spirit in the church, as well as the transformation of our city and nation.

A GROWING PRAYER MOVEMENT

5 tiers of ministry related to the BHOP have unfolded:

1. PRAYER CHAPEL:

Our chapel has become a refuge from the business of life, and on average 30 individuals and 2 prayer groups make weekly visits to draw away to a quiet place.

2. PRAYER MOVEMENT

Ps Basil Carter facilitates Pray for our schools movement, visiting head masters of Benoni Schools, and relaying prayer requests to our team of intercessors.
